i live here.
You know what's weird? I live in California. I walk out of the door of my apartment building and feel a warm breeze. I walk down the street filled with palm trees, not little Italian shops. I walk towards... well, anywhere really. Ralph's, the Mexican restaurant around the corner, Matt's house, Casey's house, wherever... and it's not somewhere in Boston. I live in California and it's pretty friggin' weird... and awesome.
I'm finally feeling settled. I have a routine every single day. I wake up between 8 and 8:15 every morning. I make coffee, I take a shower, I check e-mails, I apply to jobs and then I write. It's amazing what a little sunshine can do to your productivity. I don't have a job yet (which means I'm seriously lacking a steady income... but who needs money? hahahahahaha, fuck) so I still don't get paid, but at least I'm not wasting time and waiting for stuff to happen, I've been actively GETTIN' IT. I did that a lot in Boston. I worked at night, so I spent a lot of days rolling out of bed at noon, having a panic attack and watching shows on Netflix. (I'd like to take a second to thank my family for helping me out... I promise I'm trying to find a job. No, really, I'm not just F'ing around. I'm not just sitting on my balcony looking at a sweet sweet pool.)
I have a solid group of friends. I make dinner almost every night. I have a DVR! (I've never had a DVR before.) I do yoga every day (until, of course, I hurt myself and constantly have to ice my ankle/shoulder.) Damn! I miss my family, I miss my friends, I miss Edith, I miss my home... but now that I'm on the other side of all that moving bullshit, I'm really excited and happy. SUNSHINE, GUYS! GET ON IT!
