Somewhere between turning 23 and 25, I developed a crazy obsession with Motown. I started growing up and apparently jumped right to being 65 years old. Recently, I've enlisted a friend's help in modernizing my music taste. But I'll always love that smooth, Motown sound.
Here are five of my favorite Motown songs, just in case you feel like falling in love right now.
Otis Redding - My Lover's Prayer
{runner ups: everything else}
{hi nick!}
Sam Cooke - Wonderful World
{runner ups: Chain Gang, Summertime, Cupid and You Send Me}
Jackson 5 - Who's Loving You
{runner ups: The Love You Save, Never Can Say Goodbye}
Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell - You're All I Need To Get By
{runner ups: the best version of Aint No Mountain High Enough}
and, my all-time favorite Motown song:
Smokey Robinson & The Miracles - You Really Got A Hold On Me
{runner ups: The Tears of a Clown}
