Sad and Sweet
I like comedians who seem like people I would like to hang out with. And people who seem genuine. Steve Martin is one of my favorites ever! He's a great writer, comedian, musician... and he's handsome. I like handsome older men. (Alec Baldwin, Ted Danson, Dick van Dyke.)
Here's a sad clip of him hosting SNL the day that Gilda Radner died. He's very sad. It makes me cry.

Phil Hartman, an Honest Man
"I wanted to do [SNL] because I wanted to get the exposure that would give me box-office credibility so I can write movies for myself."
I like an honest answer.
What a great man he was.

Masterclass with Lorne Michaels
I watched this the other night and I loved it. {thanks Ry!}
Lorne Michaels is a really smart guy and what he did was revolutionary.
When building the cast he said, "It had to be people who make you laugh, but it also had to be people you could drive across country with and not kill." And that's true. Very important.
Also, Dr. Evil really does sound like him.
